HEX to HSL Converter
Enter a HEX code and see the HSL equivalent. HSL separates color into hue (0–360°), saturation (0–100%), and lightness (0–100%), making it easier to adjust colors predictably.

Why Use HSL?
HSL represents colors the way humans think about them. Instead of mixing red, green, and blue beams, you adjust three intuitive properties:
- Hue (H): The position on the color wheel in degrees (0° = red, 120° = green, 240° = blue).
- Saturation (S): How vivid or muted the color is (0% = gray, 100% = full intensity).
- Lightness (L): How bright or dark (0% = black, 50% = pure color, 100% = white).
This makes it straightforward to create lighter or darker variations by adjusting only the L value, or to desaturate by lowering S — without affecting the hue.
