How to Build a Palette

  1. Choose how many colors you want using the dropdown.
  2. Click Generate Palette to create a random palette.
  3. Click the lock icon on any color you want to keep.
  4. Click Generate Palette again — only unlocked colors will change.
  5. When you're happy, choose an export format and click Copy Export.

Export Formats

HEX list gives you one HEX code per line. CSS custom properties wraps the colors in a :root block ready for your stylesheet. JSON outputs each color with HEX, RGB, and HSL values.

How do I save a palette?

Use the export function to copy the palette as CSS variables or JSON. Paste the result into a file or design document to save it.

Can I start from a specific color?

Not directly with this tool. For harmony-based palettes starting from a chosen color, use the Color Combination Generator or Harmony Generator.
