Harmony Modes Explained
- Complementary
- Two colors opposite each other on the color wheel. High contrast and vibrant when used together.
- Analogous
- Three colors next to each other on the wheel. Creates a smooth, unified look.
- Triadic
- Three colors evenly spaced at 120° intervals. Balanced with strong visual contrast.
- Tetradic
- Four colors at 90° intervals forming a rectangle. Complex and rich — works well if one color dominates.
- Split-Complementary
- A base color plus the two colors adjacent to its complement. Offers contrast without the tension of a straight complement.
- Monochromatic
- Multiple lightness variations of a single hue. Clean, professional, and always harmonious.
